Message from the CEO – Voluntary Amalgamation

Most notably, as you may already be aware, we recently announced the voluntary amalgamation (VA) of Central Bayside Community Health Services, Connect Health & Community and Star Health following a successful vote at our Annual General Meetings on 31 March.

The decision to voluntarily amalgamate our organisations will provide better health, wellbeing, and support outcomes for people within the inner south, south and southeast suburbs of Melbourne.

As mentioned in previous communications, all services will be maintained, and clients will still be able to access services at the same locations. A benefit of the voluntary amalgamation is the potential for services to be offered in more accessible and convenient locations for our clients.

Recently, we have been working closely with stakeholders to develop a name for the new entity. I would like to thank the clients and staff who took part in recent focus groups to provide input into branding options. A decision on what the new entity will be called is expected before its formal legal establishment in the 2022-23 financial year.
