Purpose of the Position

CBCHS is seeking a Senior Clinician Occupational Therapist, to lead our Occupational Therapy team. Some of the key deliverables for this position include:

  • Provide high quality clinical leadership, mentoring and coaching to staff in areas of expertise;
  • Manage a client caseload ensuring the delivery of a high standard of screening, comprehensive assessment and care planning;
  • Provide expert advice in OT service provision and support the implementation of service improvement initiatives including a sound clinical governance framework

Key Responsibilities

About You

You are passionate about improving services, opportunities and access for those who are more vulnerable or disadvantaged and are able to demonstrate skills to implement evidence-based practice in a community setting. You are an experienced clinician with contemporary knowledge of the health sector and a proven ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team to provide clinical guidance and advice to others.

Key Selection Criteria

Your qualifications, registrations, licences & experience will include:

Essential

  • B. App Sc (OT), B. Occupational Therapy or MOTprac or recognised equivalent;
  • Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA);
  • Current Driver Licence;
  • Substantial knowledge, understanding and demonstrated experience (at least 7 years) in the provision of services for individuals or groups in area of qualification, including a strong clinical background in working with clients in a Community Health setting.

Desirable

  • Post-graduate studies (or working towards) in Occupational Therapy, Public Health, Research or Management.
