CBCHS is well known for providing disability support. But did you know we also offer other NDIS services including Child Development Services and Support Coordination?

We spoke with the teams providing these services to find out more about what they offer:

NDIS Child Development Services

What services do you provide?

We provide a range of Early Childhood Intervention Services for children with an NDIS Plan to support them with developmental delays or difficulties.  These include Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Dietetics and Podiatry. Our clinicians work as an integrated team so we can offer a range of coordinated services to support development if required.

What is the most rewarding part of your work?

The most rewarding part of the job for the team is seeing the children meet their goals and empowering their parents to be able to support their children’s development holistically.

How can services be accessed?

Our NDIS Child Development Services can be accessed face-to-face from our centres at Parkdale, Westall, Chelsea and Patterson Lakes. We also offer Telehealth appointments via phone or video conference. Where required, we can also come to your home or child’s education setting (conditions appy). For enquiries or to book an appointment please contact 8587 0200 or enquiries@cbchs.org.au.

NDIS Support Coordination

What is Support Coordination?

Support Coordination is an NDIS funded service. If you are an NDIS participant with Support Coordination in your plan, a Support Coordinator can help you to:

  • Make the most of your NDIS plan, helping you to achieve your goals with appropriate supports, services and equipment
  • Provide a range of unbiased and objective advice on suitable service providers, giving you the choice and control to select your preferred service provider
  • Help empower you to manage your own supports and implement your plan, including informal, mainstream, community and funded supports
  • Help you navigate the complexities of NDIS.

What is the most rewarding part of your work?

The NDIS Support Coordination role often requires some thinking outside of the box. It’s very rewarding to know you’re playing such a big and important part in helping someone bring their NDIS plan to life.

How can services be accessed?

We have two experienced and caring Support Coordinators within our disability services team who have helped many NDIS participants make the most of their plan and achieve their goals.  There is no wait list and consultations can be held in person, over the phone or via video conference.
