Overview
Central Bayside Community Health Services is one of the Southern Region’s largest, fastest growing and most progressive community health groups. The organisation provides a comprehensive range of services from a number of sites.
Central Bayside Community Health Services promotes a preventative health model, whereby members of the local community are encouraged to take responsibility for their own and their community’s health and well-being. Our clients range in age from infants to adults.
While CBCHS generally operates in the City of Kingston there are a number of programs such as the Alcohol and Drug program, the Southern Psycho-geriatric Activity service, the Inner South Communications service and Telelink (Statewide) which operate across a number of local government areas in the southern region.
Programs in Primary Health include the following- Alcohol and Drug, Asthma Education, Child Development, Communications Service, Community Development, Community Nursing, Counselling, Diabetes Education, Dietetics, Physiotherapy, Podiatry and Youth services. Gambler's Help Southern provide counselling services from CBCHS. Information on their services can be accessed at www.ghsouthern.org.au.
Medical services include Dental, General Practice, Paediatrician and Sexual Health Clinic.
Aged/Day Programs include Aged Care, Adult Community Options, Community Visitors Scheme, HACC Case Management, Occupational Therapy, Southern Psycho-geriatric Activity service, Telelink and Volunteers.
