CBCHS - Occupational Therapy

Aim

Occupational Therapists aim to assist individuals to maintain or increase their physical and social independence in the community through

Individual work with clients including prescription of assistive equipment, e.g. bath seats, wheelchairs; training in alternative ways of carrying out daily activities; home modifications; relaxation and stress management; supportive counselling, support for and liaison with families, other professionals and service providers, and community groups.
Group work with clients e.g. support groups
Health promotion and education for individuals and/or general public;
Community Development
